Tango Por Tres is about connecting past, present and future in tango.
The trio arranges the tangos of yesterday, interprets the tangos of today and creates the tangos of tomorrow. Tango Por Tres has returned to the original tango instrumentation, violin and flute, which in combination with piano – a later addition to tango music – connects different periods of tango history.
Tango Por Tres had the honor of performing at the Tango for Musicians Festival in Portland, Oregon; subsequently the trio was invited to perform at the opening concert of the 2016 Chamber Music Northwest Festival.
Tango Por Tres has international roots, because the musicians have Dutch/Argentinian/American/Belgian backgrounds.
